Grant Pickrel, a youngster from the cornfields of Central Nebraska, grew up singing to himself in the tractor and the car, but never in front of an audience.  It wasn’t until he discovered his musical talents at age 18 during his first semester at college.  Having plenty of extra time on his hands, he decided to buy a guitar and begin his musical journey.  At first, it was all good fun, learning how to play songs from his” Red Dirt” heroes, like Tyler Childers, Randy Rogers, and the Turnpike Troubadours.

After several months of picking around, a co-worker asked him to bring his guitar to an upcoming branding.  As it turned out, Grant discovered a love of performing and has been “hooked” ever since.  Grant has played at church, bars, private events, and corporate events, and has had the privilege of opening for a host of great bands, including The James Lee Band, The Kyle Sayler Band, The Pioneer Band, and B.J. Jamison and the Twin River Band.
